Living in Austin, we think most residents would agree, is amazing. Austin has so much to see, to do, a great economy, and a lower cost of living.  On our website, you will find the tools to search for anything you might want to know about Austin.  Here are a few of the common questions:

Is Austin Texas overpopulated?
We would say that Austin is definitely not congested. The population of the city is just over 700.000. The entire Austin area is populated by about 1.3 million people. You will find that the city is just big enough to have an urban feel while not being too urban. There is public transportation, and you will enjoy the nightlife. The city is small enough that you will be well versed in getting around in about a few months.

How is the climate year around?
You are going to love the weather here! Austin has about 300 days of sunshine each year. The average temperature is about 68.5 degrees. You can walk around with shorts and sandals on for most of the year. It very rarely snows in the area. You can typically partake in outdoor activities year round like jogging, playing outdoor sports, working outside, bike riding, fishing, etc. You can also do things like having rummage sales, which in a lot of states lasts for only about 4 months.

What is it like living in Austin?
Living in Austin is like living in a big city, but with the small town charm, and most people like it that way. The city and the community are very supportive of local businesses. Entrepreneurs are successful where in other areas they might not be.

Do people speak with an accent in Austin?
Some people speak with a slight Southern accent, while a lot do not. The accents of the people here are not as distinctive as you would find in Southern cities. It takes some getting used to, but once you are you will come to like it. If you speak with no accent you will most likely be considered interesting.
